Excellent coffee selection. Beans are roasted in house. Great environment. Always laid-back and welcoming.

This is a friendly little spot. I really just needed a place to meet a friend during a brief trip to S.C. for a job interview. After the interview, we wanted to meet and head up to Table Rock. I was coming from Columbia and she was coming from Hendersonville, NC. We chose the Forest Coffeehouse. I had a good cup of coffee (used a mug off the wall, which was fun because I got to choose my own mug) and a blueberry muffin. There wasn't much choice on the pastries, but it was about 2pm, so . . . . The bathroom was roomy and clean. the ambience was casual and comfortable. It looks like a great place to nurse a cup of coffee and read a book or work on the computer, as well as a place to sit with friends for a quiet chat. It's likely I will be there again if I get the job - meeting my friend for further S.C. exploration.

I like this place but not as much as I used to after they decided to reduce the amount of sitting space (they turned one room into offices). Coffee is good though and the staff are quite friendly.

I was excited to try it and avoid the commercial coffee shops, but I ordered an iced coffee that was so bitter/burnt that even after dumping loads of milk in it, it was *still* undrinkable. It was disappointing given the high Yelp rating. Maybe it was just a one-time mistake but still. Also, they only had one type of milk on the counter -it would have been nice to have some choices (skim/one/whole/soy/almond), and I found it atypical for a coffeehouse not to provide these.

The coffee... Got one word: EPIC! Got a Starbucks Macchiato with Pumpkin Spice and got lost in the foam. The coffee is really something special. I would venture to say the best I ever had. Also ordered an omelette and WOW! Did not disappoint! They have breakfast, lunch, and are open late on Tuesdays for open mic. BOOM!

Favorite coffee shop ever! Wonderful selection of coffees (to drink there or purchase a bag). Great to see the support of local artists in the shop too. Had the chicken salad sandwich the last time I was there- it was great!

What a wonderful coffee shop. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the coffee and treats are yummy. I have brought many visitors and they have all loved it. You can sit and read or use your computer. No one rushes you and there has always been ample seating. I love my hometown coffee shop!!

I was visiting the area and I love independent coffee places. I am really compelled to check them out because they are all so unique. This place is fabulous. Large, nicely decorated - feels like a living room. Clean and organized too. I only had a regular brewed coffee but I appreciated the price. I think a 16 ounce was under $2. I am a fan and will look forward to stopping in again on my next visit to TR.

Good coffee. I like the noodle stir sticks. A very cozy place to spend some time in Travelers Rest. Limited food menu but good for a snack.

Great coffee! Try the coconut chai. Lots of seating. On Tuesdays there is open mic night.

I spend a lot of time here, I really like the atmosphere and the staff are always very friendly. I prefer a different style of coffee (darker, less acidic roasts), but the pimento cheese sandwich and pastries are very, very good.

This hipster-esque coffee shop is a your typical big-city roastery/cafe, but being located in a historic small town, it gets much praise. It offers an affordable cup of joe, some pastries, and a wide array of beans to choose from. LF models itself after one of those sustainable, eco-friendly, fairly priced, indie coffee shops that are bountiful in bigger cities nowadays. That being said, it is a great place to grab a brew and chill. The banana nut muffin that I had was sub-par. It had the banana flavor, but it did not really stand out; it was also a bit dense. Not the best muffin that I have had, but it cut through the smokiness of the few coffees that I tried. Leopard Forest is probably the best place to rendezvous and hang out with acquaintances if you are in the TR area. It has my vote... if some of my Texas friends ever make it over to these parts of the US.

WOW! I'm astonished that Leopard Forest wasn't listed on Yelp yet. Are people trying to keep it a secret, or what? Leopard Forest's coffee is grown on their own farm in the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe and roasted right here in their Travelers Rest shop. Their goal is to be the best coffee shop in the Greenville Area, and I'd say they've achieved it. With a frequently-changing café menu that focuses on fresh seasonal ingredients, their great signature coffee drinks are a constant. I'd highly recommend the Snow Leopard (hot or frozen). It's a white chocolate caramel Macadamia Nut latte topped with whipped cream and drizzled with caramel, and it's out of this world! All of Leopard Forest's beans are also available to purchase and take home, which is how we enjoy our coffee most often. Our favorite home brew is the Leopard Forest Safari Blend. Fortunately, you can buy Leopard Forest's coffee in other local stores around, too, such as Whole Foods Market, but if you're in the area, why not just go straight to the source and head to Travelers Rest? It's definitely worth your drive.

Love love love their coffee! I take mine without cream and sugar, just black and have never been disappointed. Plus the atmosphere is great with plenty of room so you don't feel rushed. Love it here!

In their old location, I would've given Leopard Forest a lower rating. Parking was a hassle, the seating area was too small, and the whole scene was too...eh... "granola" for my taste. However, their new location is simple, bright, accessible, and has ample space for customers even on a busy day. Extra stars for LF's sustainable practices. They import beans from their coffee farm in Zimbabwe and also sell coffees from other sustainable enterprises around the world. It's human-rights happy, but just as important, it's great quality coffee! For my daily brew, I take home their Safari Blend. They also sell Selva Negra coffee from Nicaragua, which I love! I was fortunate enough to visit the Selva Negra resort and farm last summer, and it was an impressive and beautiful place that made delicious gourmet coffee. To top off the green efforts, bring your own travel mug and get a discount on your drink :) The coffee shop is a nice place to do schoolwork or chat with friends. My only complaint is that the free wireless wasn't working last time I went in (hence, a good place to hunker down and study!). Leopard Forest is easily one of the best coffee shops in the Greenville area.

I just edited my review from 3 star to 5 star because this place has gotten allot better! I would say it is almost as good as "Octane" in Atlanta but that is a STRONG five star!

Come, coffee connoisseurs! Go for the Snow Leopard with honey! Everything from the eco-friendly mug-tree to the organic coffee to the mini customer-run library makes it a true "gem" as Nick W put it. I'm usually not one to enjoy coffee, but their amazing blend appeased even me. (I have not tried their food) The atmosphere is nothing short of relaxing. It's a great place to do homework, to have in-depth discussions with your friends (or even random strangers), and/or to simply sit down and enjoy a good cup of joe. $1 coffee? I'm game!

Really, really good coffee and a great atmosphere. I end up getting hot tea a lot because they serve Harney and Sons which I happen to favor. Their coffee comes from their very own plantation in Africa, which is super impressive. I haven't tried the food but their dessert case is rather tempting and delicious looking. They even have open mic night on Tuesdays. Good place to study, hang with friends or just sit, sip and read a book.

Wow! Best caffe breve I've ever had and for a good price. The foam was rich and dense- the real deal. I was pleasantly surprised on this on-a-whim coffee stop.

I went here yesterday not aware that they also had hot food. I ordered my regular latte and also an omelette with spinach, mushrooms, mozzarella cheese and onion. It was so good! It's nice to know I can go here for something for breakfast in TR rather than Waffle House! Staff is very friendly as well.

Great coffee, great crew, comfy atmosphere. Nice place to meet with friends or for business. I enjoy using it as a "satellite" office as well. Baked good are homemade, they recycle, they offer lots of opportunities for local talent (Open Mike Night and local artist displays). Great place to take a break from walking, running or biking the Swamp Rabbit Trail.

Excellent coffee in a kind of bizarre one stop light town. I had the Snow Leopard-- a white chocolate, caramel, macadamia nut latte. Slightly too sweet but otherwise YUM. I sat for awhile on one of the many couches and read a magazine as M walked the Swamp Rabbit trail. It seems like a cool gathering place for locals. I obviously wasn't one and was treated as such, but if I was I would come here.

Great place to visit on Tuesday nights. Open guitar night hosted by Jacob Johnson. I have heard some great musicians while enjoying food and drink.

Stopped here while traveling based on the reviews. Had an excellent soup, sandwich, and ice tea. The staff were friendly, the prices were right, atmosphere relaxed. However, the space was ill laid out, not very cosy for a coffee shop. Didn't feel relaxing.
